dahlia

Hello!

It feels like a Friday and it's only Wednesday! LOL
Good news, a sweet customer reached out to me and offered to help find out why such a long delay for my stamps to be delivered and long story short they had the wrong phone number and no email address so they couldn't get a hold of me??!! What?!! 2 WEEKS!!
Anyways, they did get a hold of me so hopefully soon I will get my stamps.

Today I'm sharing Katerina's gorgeous card using Dahlia.

I'm going to have to order myself some pencil crayons and try colouring with them. I feel it would be much easier to do a no-line colouring with pencil crayons than with markers.

ildi

Hello!

I have another special blog post for you today.
Ildi is popping in to share her brilliant projects using Belated Birthday. You can check her blog out here.
Thank you Ildi for being my guest, I am blown away by your gorgeous cards.

For my first card I used a black cardstock: I stamped the images with Tattered Rose Oxide ink and coloured everything with Polychromos pencils.
Quick tip: There's no need any masking papers if you choose no-line coloring since the light shaded ink will totally be covered by your colouring medium.

My second card wasn't a quick make, but it was absolutely worth the effort. I made a tone-on-tone backround using all the tiny bits from the stamp set. Coloured up this cute turtle, added a party hat and attached it in the middle. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of kraft cardstock and added some natural colour fringe to embelish my front panel.
Quick tip: If you find your backround too bold or dark for your focal element, you can cover it with a piece of vellum to mute the colours.

The third card I've created for this blog is a classic style marker card. I've just had this idea with snails on tree branches in my head since I first saw this gorgeous set. Creating a scene like this may take some time but always a fun create. I started with sketching the branches with my lightest grey then stamped the images.
Quick tip: marker cards sometimes look weird or messy while in progress. Please do not give it up if you find it doesn't turn out as you planned. At the end it will look great I promise :)

My final project is a monochromatic tag set and I can't hide how I enjoyed creating them. Making the tag bases I applied oxide inks onto die-cut pieces. I splattered black and white paint to make them look a little textured and interesting. I created little compositions from the stamp images with masking technique. I used the tag colours for my critters to create a monochromatic look.
Quick tip: when lack of mojo monochromatic colouring can be a releasing and uplifting experience. No thinking of colour picks can help to aim a flow create :).

Thank you for reading my post, hope you enjoyed it and found it useful. Thank you, Jane for the opportunity to share my creations on your blog, I feel so honoured!

Wishing you fun creating!
Hugs,
Ildi

new digital stamp

Well, people. Brexit is causing delays. The latest is that both orders are in Croatia but are now being processed for clearance (whatever that means).

So with Easter coming, I decided to add a new digital stamp for Easter to the shop.

I drew 3 different versions (just tiny differences) and couldn't make up my mind which one to add to the shop so I added all three.

As usual, I used watercolours to create my background. I printed, coloured, and cut out my image and adhered it to the card. The sentiment is from Spring.

The card above has some more details (lines) for the hair, beard and the bottom card doesn't. I told you, tiny differences. LOL.

I'm also sharing Marion's adorable gift tag using Suzi's Easter which has been discontinued but it's available as a digital stamp. Marion also used Spring.

tropical birds

Hello!

Today I'm sharing Kaja's card using Tropical Birds.
I can't stop looking at the bird!!! Kaja's colouring skillzzzz are on point!
It's not easy colouring with black markers, at least not for me.

If you do digital stamps as well, make sure to pop by tomorrow for a little digi release. My orders (stamps) are still being held for clearance (whatever that means) due to Brexit, so I figured I could at least offer a digital stamp.

Mix and match those sets people!

I love how Claudia stamped and fussy cut the penguin's hat for the fox too.
I imagine these three best friends are enjoying themselves in the Italian Alps. 😀
Claudia's colouring is FAB!

pucker up! + shop update

Hello!

Today I'm sharing my card using Monster Squad and Pucker Up!

As you can see from my logo I love these colours.
I did some masking with the monsters, coloured and fussy cut them.

I was going to have a Valentine's Day sale but since my shop is practically empty I will put off the sale. I was supposed to get some shipments but Brexit is causing some delays. The latest update as of yesterday is that I should be getting them next week, fingers crossed.

Weird

Hi there! Bobbi Lemanski here (@BobbiHartDesign) with a silly or should I say "Weird" card using Jane's Doodles new stamp set, Weird. For this card, I got a little more modern and graphic with the habitat for this lounging sloth. I think this would be a fun card for a brother or guy friend that's just a little unique, funny and lovable. I chose more masculine, but upbeat colors for this reason.

To create this 5" X 7" card, I made the card base from 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock, I started with using my circle dies and cut multiple circles in bold and tropical looking colors. I stamped this fun image from Weird and colored the sloth using Copic Markers E43, E44, E57 and E59 browns and fussy cut it out. I also die cut some tropical leaves in shades of green cardstock to create the natural habitat. Each leaf is just a little unusual and maybe even a little weird looking to match our sweet sloth!

After arranging the layered circles and die cutting a circle through them, I adhered them to my card front. I cut a matching whole right through the card front, allowing the inside of the card to show through. For the front, I arranged the sloth over the opening and added leaves. I also heat embossed in white, the saying from the stamp set on a green long leaf and attached it below the window opening on the front along with another leaf. Notice the cute little banana bunch, coconut and flower that comes with the set, too. They make cute accents for the sloth.

Inside the card, I stamped all those cute accents in the inside as well as the little circle image from the Sweater Weather set. (I needed a really tiny design to fill in some spaces.) I left room to stamp the phrases, "You do you" and "It's your birthday" inside - all in black ink. I love this look. I also love that this black and white print now shows through to the front, too. It's a nice background to the sloth and just the right amount of "quirky" to fit this very slow and unique animal. :)

You can shop Jane's Doodles here. If you decide to place an order, please use my links in this post so that the companies know how you found these products I used! I appreciate it very much. It helps me to continue to bring more ideas to you!
