I'm back today to share Lien's gorgeous card using Warm Hugs.

Also, I will be re-opening the shop today. I've been doing inventory and oh man do I need to restock big time! LOL Thank you for your patience.

I love cards without sentiments....to be honest. They are great to have on hand. Sometimes I have a great card for a birthday but the sentiment 'thank you' is on it......you know what I mean.

And I'm jumping right into today's card. Claudia created this awesome card using the new Life's A Beach set and Beach Hut set.

What a gorgeous background?!! And the colouring.....perfection!

Sun, Sand and Surf's Up!

Hi friends! It's Bobbi Lemanski here with a fun summer card featuring one of my favorite beach dudes... the gator! The alligator and surf boards are from the Jane's Doodles set, Surf's Up. Here are the details...

My 5" X 7" (A7 size) card base is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock. I used a sun/sea die design cut from watercolor paper that I colored with watercolor paints. I use Canson XL watercolor paper with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paint to make the painted design. This circular design creates the backdrop for the cute gator sand scene.

I stamped the images in black and colored the gator and surf boards. I also stamped a little starfish from the Summer Icons stamp set, too. I colored the images using the following Copic Marker colors:

Gator: YG67, YG17, YG03, YG00, B04, B00, R20, R22, R14, R29

Surf Boards: R20, R14, R22, YR16, YR15 and a white gel pen

Starfish: R00, E50

Sand: E43, E42, E50 and a fine-tip black marker for the specks in the sand

The images were fussy cut and attached to the backdrop. I hand cut the bottoms of the surfboards at an angle to make them look like they are stuck in the sand. The gator was attached using foam tabs to make him stand out. I like that the gator goes beyond the backdrop on the side, too. Lastly, I stamped the word "Brah!" to the bottom right of the design to finish the card.

To create this card, I combined 4 stamp sets:

- Summer Icons (for the toy boat)

- Oh Baby! (for the dune grass)

A Special Birthday Guest

Jane enjoys her holiday, and the DT gets to show off some cards of their own.

Some time ago Jane told us that she likes to design her backgrounds with a stencil and some watercolour. I tried that for the first time and I am so excited! I hope you can see the golden shimmer of the colour in the photo!

I used the Stripes stencil and the Whales stamp set.

Smile and You're a Blast Tags

 Hi everyone, it's Marion here from Made Marion Studio.

Jane is currently on vacation and the shop is temporarily closed, however that isn't going to stop us making projects with Jane's awesome products.

Today I have made two tags using the To the Moon, Under the Sea and All Occasions (sentiment) stamp sets.
