sneak peeks

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Today I thought I share some sneak peeks of new Jane's Doodles stamps and how my stamps come to be! :)

It all starts with a pencil and paper. I'm so excited for this owl and can't wait until it's a stamp!

When I'm happy with my drawing I will go over it with a black marker (I use Sakura) and erase the pencil and then scan it. I don't like to touch up my drawings because they stop looking like my hand drawing if you know what I mean. I don't draw perfectly straight lines or circles etc. so I stopped stressing myself out about that.

Here's another peek of a new stamp set in pencil form...you'll have to wait to see the rest though! :)

Simple and gorgeous is the theme today!! Renee used our Butterflies stamp set to create this beauty. I love how she stamped the sentiment onto the washi tape...never occurred to me to do this! :)

It's my turn on the blog today so here's my card! :)

I used the otter from our Nuts about you stamp set. There's only one otter in this set so in order to make my other otter I inked up the otter and then stamped it onto the back of another clear stamp (just make sure it's bigger than the stamp you are using) and then stamped that image onto my white cardstock...I used my black marker/pen to fill in any of the lines that need a little touch up. I also used the circles background stamp from our Jungle Baby stamp set.

It's my turn on the blog today and I'm sharing a card I made to thank Caroline (the skin care guru)...I asked if I could quote her for my Butterflies stamp set.  

I used up some of my pretty scraps of pattern paper to create the frame and banners. 

I stamped the butterfly onto the cardstock and then again a second time onto another scrap piece of white cardstock, coloured it in with my Graph'it markers, cut it out and added a nice layer of glitter. This is quick and easy because there's no need to spend any time blending and colouring since I knew I wanted to cover the butterfly with glitter.

I'm loving sequins especially white sequins!!!

So sorry for posting this one a day late....my youngest is sick and I also went to check on my neighbour (she fell and I drove her to the hospital...all is well...she's just gotta take it easy for a week or so...we have got some crazy ice here)....so anyways.....here's Mariana's GOR.GE.OUS card using our Butterflies stamp set!
