I love you this much
You drive me crazy... Sending loads of love... There are so many ways you could go with a phrase for this card. It drove me crazy just thinking about it. Heehee. I decided on, "I love you this much!" I think that works perfectly and it also belongs in a Jane's Doodles set, too.
I'm using three stamp sets by Jane's Doodles. The main set is called Driving Home for Christmas. That's right. I'm using a Christmas set for a Valentine card. I'm also using these stamp sets:
Belated Birthday (for the cupcake on the car)
Seamus (for the phrase)
I stamped and colored all the elements - one car, three trailers and the cupcake. Next, I created three heart masks using a sticky note and stamped the hearts in each trailer using the masking method. Each one was colored using shades of reds and pinks. I used the following Copic Sketch Markers: R29, R17, R14 for the reds and RV17, RV55, RV02, R10 for the hearts.
The background, bushes, sky, and road - were all hand drawn/colored as well. I also drew a luggage rack over the cupcake before I cut that out. I used the following greens for the bushes/landscape: G99, YG67, YG61, YG17, YG03, YG00. I used B00, B000 and B0000 for the sky. The road was done in C9, C7, C5, C3 and C1.
I cut out all the stamped images and added them to the background. I used dimensional foam tabs under the entire car/trailer design to make it pop a little from the page. I think it looks so cute with the vibrant green in the background and foreground. This slimline card measures 8-1/2" wide X 3-1/2" tall. It mails in a business-sized envelope.

Hope
Hello!
I want to thank all of you AGAIN for helping me raise money to help the cities, villages and people devasted by the earthquakes in Croatia. I first mentioned I would donate the money to the Red Cross. I started to read on Instagram some complaints about the Red Cross not doing their job properly. I'm only going to say this. There will always be those who will take advantage of situations like these but to generalize and say all who volunteer in the Red Cross are stealing is ridiculous. My advice to those who are throwing temper tantrums and trolling the Red Cross is to go to the affected areas, put on the red uniform and set an example.
So like I said, I was conflicted about what do to because I want everyone to be happy with the donation. This is your money and I wanted to be intentional to show my gratitude. I've talked to many people, neighbours who went to Pentrinja, Sisak and the surrounding villages to hand out supplies and I'm happy to see that they have received loads of clothing, blankets, food, etc. Many countries (Greece, Germany, Austria, Italy...) have come with trucks full of supplies. I think the biggest concern and long term problem is rebuilding these cities. If there are no more schools, hospitals, people will leave.
So. I saw this video.

hope + new design team member
Hello!
Before we get into today's gorgeous card by our newest design team member I'd like to say once again thank you to all who purchased my Hope digital stamp. I will leave it in the shop and will donate all the money towards the victims of the earthquakes here in Croatia.
I felt one this morning which was 4.7 in Petrinja (one of the cities devasted by the earthquakes). They are having aftershocks almost every hour. Yesterday Zagreb had an earthquake of 2.7. It was load and short, felt like an explosion.
I will be making the first donation today, will share it on Instagram.
On to today's card.
Hello, JD Friends! I've recently joined the Jane's Doodles Design Team and I'm happy to share my first post in 2021 with you today. You may remember me from the Challenge team last year. I am happy to be back and sharing new ideas and inspiration using products designed by Jane's Doodles.
I was moved by Jane's efforts to raise funds for the cities of Sisak and Petrinja in Croatia. These cities experienced devastation from recent earthquakes. I immediately purchased the beautiful floral digital download, called Hope for Charity that Jane created and put on sale in the store. For $5 you can purchase this floral spray to use. All proceeds go to help with the relief efforts in Croatia. It's a kind way to enjoy your craft and help others out, too.
For my card, I used a slimline style card base measuring 3-1/2" wide X 8-1/2" tall. I added a faux plankboard pattern paper to the bottom 2/3 of the front panel of this white card base. I printed my floral bouquet on Neenah 80lb cardstock as well as additional leaves and individual peonies to add to the bouquet.
To color my card, I used the following Copic Marker colors:
Yellows: YR24, YR21, Y38, Y18, Y15, Y08
Oranges: YR27, YR24, YR61
Browns: E57
Purples: V12, V09, V06, V05
Greens: YG67, YG63, YG61, YG03
I attached the bouquet to the card front using dimensional foam tabs and tucked the additional leaves and flowers behind the center bouquet. The phrase was stamped and added to the card as well as sequins in yellows, rose pink and oranges.
I will be sending this card to a friend of mine who lost her mom last Sunday. It's nice to be able to send a handmade hug to a friend while helping others across the world in need. Here's a link to Jane's Doodles to download your stamp and give back, too!
