Hello!

Here I am to share this tag and card I created with my new O Christmas Tree stamp set.

I attempted to film a video. First time I filmed making the tag but accidentally deleted it. Then I filmed making the card and my phone just stopped recording and I didn't notice. So there we have it. LOL.

I heat-embossed the sentiment which is from the Love You stamp set.

For this next card, I also used the two presents (that have fallen off the car) and the sentiment from the Happy Day stamp set.

Hello!

Today I'm sharing my card using one of the newest additions to the JD family - Sleepy Fox. I also combined it with Warm Hugs.

I created my background with distress inks, and I got a quick little video on the JD YouTube channel showing how. 

I stamped my images, coloured with Graph'it markers and fussy cut them out.

Welcome to another Jane's Doodles new release!

This one is not our typical release with a hop and that's because I wanted to squeeze in one last summer release. AND I will be going on vacation in August which means I will have to temporarily close the shop until I get back.

Hello and welcome to another new release hop!

I've got two new stamp sets and a stencil. A STENCIL! Yay!

The theme is love. I didn't want it to be specific to Valentine's Day just so you can get more use out of these sets.

I do have a DIGITAL version of Love Is In The Air (if you prefer digi's).

Heart Stencil

For my first card I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the images out. 

I blended Distress Oxide ink for my background and with the same ink used my Hearts stencil to add the hearts.

For the really detailed parts of my drawings, like the tree branches, I like to use coloured pencils. I often use coloured pencils to fill in tight spots, etc.

For my next card, I used watercolours to create my background and then added the hearts with Distress Ink and my Hearts stencil.

I added green watercolour to my paper, waited for it to dry and then added the blue. I coloured in the tree trunks with coloured pencils.

When I have spaces that are too difficult to fussy cut (like the wheels below) then I will colour it in to match the background.

I'm sharing my card I made which is perfect for Valentine's Day, a birthday, a just because card. I mean do I need a reason to send this card to someone?! 

I'm finished with a set that this little mouse is in and I also decided to add a digital stamp of this mouse to the shop for $2. This mouse is actually from one of my thank you notes that I send with all my orders. I colour all my thank you notes in  Procreate and print them out.

The heart background I created with my Heart stencil and Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry. The sentiment is from one  of my newest sets Love You.

I'm pretty much done with all my Valentine's Day cards. Do you send out Valentine's Day cards?

Hello!

Popping in today to share my card using the Cheers digital stamp.

I fussy cut around the top and a little bit on the sides. For the bottom I used a rectangle die.

I used watercolours to create my background.

I decided to add colour in between the glasses so I used alcohol markers in similar colours as the background. I think I prefer it.

Today I'm sharing two cards. First up, my card using Deck the Halls and Be Merry (sentiment).

I stamped, coloured and fussy cut out the ornaments and adhered them with foam dots for dimension. 

Up next is Milka's adorable shaker card using Sweater Weather and Snowflakes.

merry mice

I'm popping in today to share my card using my newest digital stamp set called Merry Mice.

I printed out the digital stamps. Coloured and fussy cut them out.

I used Distress Oxide to create my blended background and stamps snowflakes (from the Snowflakes stamp set) using the same ink.

The sentiment is from Be Merry.

Every now and then I get a message asking if I carry digital stamps or will be adding new digi's. I get why some like to use digital stamps (I do). 

So I am adding these Merry Mice to the shop. I actually had this mouse (in the middle, without a hat, etc) sketched out last spring and I am currently working on a spring clear stamp set and as I'm drawing I got the idea for this set.

Please remember that this digital stamp, all digital stamps are for personal use and not for 'sharing'. I have no problem with customers using my stamps (both clear and digital) to create cards to sell. I think that's great!

I hope you like it. It's pretty darn cute if I say so myself.

Hygge Time

The definition of Hygge is 'a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture).'

I'm all about cosy. I would live in pj's and flip flops if I could. ;)

This set could easily be used for a get better card or a birthday card.

I stamped, coloured and fussy cut out the stamped images. I then adhered them with some foam dots for dimension.

For my next card I used some watercolours. I have a quick little video on Instagram that shows how I do this technique. In short, I hold the stamp over the paper and colour in the general shape. It doesn't have to be precise, that's the beauty of using watercolours. Once dry I stamped the image over it.

Snowflakes

Originally I was just going to have snowflakes in this set but I thought that was a little boring so I added these two cuties.

I stamped, coloured and cut out the snow cuties. For my background, I blended some Distress Oxide inks (Peacock Feather, Broken China and Picked Raspberry). Using the same inks I stamped some snowflakes.

Wild Winter

I usually draw bears, penguins, moose, etc. for my Christmas/winter sets and though it's not fair to the other animals so voila - Wild Winter.

For these cards, I did lots of masking, colouring and fussy cutting (which is my favourite technique).

For areas like under the snowman's arms where there is white space (there's no way I would attempt to fussy cut in those tight spots), I used markers closest to the background colours. Or you could totally leave it as is. I do that sometimes too.

The next set just came this week. I made a little boo boo and ordered only for my distributor in Europe and forgot to order for my own shop. But I'm adding it to the release anyways.
